Dog
The domestic dog presents a remarkable consistency of performance across virtually all operational parameters. When called, a properly trained dog responds within 2.3 seconds on average. Its emotional availability remains constant regardless of galactic political circumstances, trade federation disputes, or the rise of Sith lords. The dog requires no prior assessment of the owner's midi-chlorian count before offering assistance.
Furthermore, the dog's reliability extends across environmental conditions. Rain, snow, existential crisis, or Monday morning - the canine companion maintains unwavering operational status. It does not retreat to swamp planets during difficult periods, nor does it spend decades in hermitage when circumstances become challenging.
Yoda
Yoda's reliability record presents notable inconsistencies when examined through the lens of practical availability. Despite possessing wisdom sufficient to guide the entire Jedi Order, Yoda chose to spend approximately 22 years residing in a swamp on Dagobah, offering guidance to precisely one student during this extended sabbatical. His response time to summons during this period approached infinity.
The Jedi Master's availability appears contingent upon narrative timing rather than genuine need. He materialises when dramatically appropriate, dispensing wisdom in cryptic fragments that require substantial interpretation. One cannot simply call upon Yoda for assistance with a stuck drawer or emotional support during a difficult work presentation. His service level agreement leaves considerable room for improvement.
