Mario
Mario's vocational flexibility defies conventional career counselling. Originally a carpenter confronting apes, he transitioned seamlessly to plumbing, then expanded into professional karting, tennis, golf, football, Olympic athletics, and medical practice. He has served as referee, party host, and puzzle facilitator. His willingness to inhabit genres ranging from platforming to role-playing demonstrates extraordinary adaptability. The Mushroom Kingdom's most famous citizen treats professional boundaries as mere suggestions, excelling in each endeavour with characteristic enthusiasm.
The Joker
The Joker's versatility manifests through interpretive plasticity rather than vocational diversity. He has been portrayed as comedic nuisance, tragic figure, philosophical terrorist, and something approaching genuine horror. Different artistic visions have rendered him campy, disturbing, sympathetic, and incomprehensible. However, his essential function remains consistent: opposition to order, specifically as embodied by Gotham's caped resident. He cannot venture far from this dynamic without losing fundamental identity. His range, whilst impressive within dramatic constraints, operates on a narrower spectrum.
