Wolverine's power manifests through an entirely different philosophical framework: applied persistence. His mutant healing factor allows him to recover from wounds that would atomise lesser beings, whilst his adamantium-laced skeleton provides both offensive capability and structural integrity.

However, his strength operates firmly within the enhanced human category. He lifts perhaps two tonnes on a good day. His claws, though capable of cutting virtually any material, require him to be within arm's reach to deploy them.

Logan's century and a half of existence has been spent in considerably grimmer circumstances. He has fought in virtually every major conflict since the American Civil War, served in black operations units, and survived repeated attempts at psychological conditioning. His combat style prioritises efficiency over elegance.

Where Thor learned warfare in gleaming halls, Wolverine learned it in trenches, laboratories, and back alleys. His experience encompasses every dirty trick imaginable.

Wolverine emerged from comic books in 1974 and has since become the definitive anti-hero archetype. His influence on the superhero genre reshaped expectations of what these characters could be: morally complex, visually distinctive, and perpetually suffering.

He demonstrated that audiences would embrace heroes who killed, drank, and smoked cigars whilst saving the world.

This category belongs to Wolverine with almost tedious certainty. His healing factor has recovered from single cells, rebuilt his entire body from adamantium-coated bones, and kept him functional through injuries that defy medical description.

Combined with his unbreakable skeleton, Wolverine represents perhaps the most stubbornly unkillable entity in the superheroic ecosystem. He has survived nuclear explosions, decapitation attempts, and having the adamantium painfully extracted from his bones.

Logan's psyche has endured what might charitably be termed comprehensive destruction. Memory wipes, berserker rage episodes, the murder of loved ones, and centuries of accumulated trauma have forged a mind that functions through sheer obstinacy rather than wholeness.

He is not mentally healthy by any reasonable standard. He is, however, absolutely relentless. His psychological survival strategy involves not breaking because he has already been broken so thoroughly that further damage simply finds no purchase.
